The inlet to the pneumatic conveying line is via a dosing component (rotary, screw conveyor, etc.) and a connection between it and the pipeline, which is called a pneumatic inlet. The shape of the socket is of great importance to facilitate the feeding of the conveyor and to avoid any turbulence when the product and fluid meet. There are situations where the product can be conveyed pneumatically in vacuum, using vacuum lances. This component allows direct picking from Big-Bags, sacks, octabins or top-open containers. They are typically used with pneumatic loaders or small vacuum conveyors.
