Test Plant

Air-Tec System has a test room and a laboratory equipped for research and development of bulk material handling technologies.

Test plants, built on an industrial scale, are the main tool for evaluating the behaviour of materials during transport and allow accurate performance data to be obtained, providing fundamental information for the design and dimensioning of final systems.

Air-Tec Lab

Air-Tec’s laboratory maintains a database with over 2000 material samples and their parameters determined during testing.
This is where the R&D team carries out predictive analysis of material performance for correct system sizing using advanced equipment:

  • RHEOMETER FT4: Instrument for characterising powder rheology and flow properties, capable of performing several types of tests including bulk density, compressibility, permeability, aeration, consolidation, shear cell test and wall friction.
  • OPTIKA SZM-2 ELECTRON MICROSCOPE: Electron microscope consisting of 360° rotatable binocular heads and EWF10/20mm eyepieces, with built-in C-B5 digital camera for high-resolution images
