The advantages of polypropylene pneumatic conveying system

Ifis, is a manufacturer of synthetic yarns located in Caserta and has chosen Air-Tec System technology for handling homopolymer and copolymer polypropylene granules.

The manufacturing plant has a vacuum conveying system, to transport granules from the silos, and a pressure conveying system to transfer raw materials from the new big bag emptying station to the twelve storage silos. A total of 3 tons per hour can be transported, considering a conveying distance of about 115 metres with 5 bends.

This system allows the automation of the raw material loading process and is also used to feed a new production machine from the Reinfehauser Group (Cast line), which is located at a distance of about 115 metres from the raw material storage station. The vacuum conveying system is an addition to the existing system consisting of six 110 cubic metres silos in stainless steel Aisi 304 and is equipped with an innovative control electronic panel.

The system also includes a pressure pneumatic transport to load three existing silos and three new 35 cubic meters silos. These silos are used to connect two extruders feeding systems, used to produce plastic sheets, and to feed tree silos located at the top of the new extruder. This automated process can provide the required stock for the three production lines.
