Advantages over traditional systems

The use of the Air-Tec system technology for the dense phase pneumatic conveying of bulk materials not only has a cost savings benefit but enables en increased efficiency compared to the traditional mechanical transportation systems like industrial conveyors, bucket elevators and dilute phase systems.

The advantages of the dense phase pneumatic transport can be summarized as follows:

  • It has the capacity to preserve the integrity of fragile, abrasive materials and mixed products. The low speed safeguards the integrity of, for instance, the plastic granules from the formation of  “angel hair” (whitish filaments) and preserves the aroma of any food product.
  • The simplicity of both design and installation. It is quicker to design the layout and install a dense phase system than traditional systems. Traditional methods may require a combination of several components making design and assembly a longer and costlier process.
  • The combination of air and inert gas ratios used in relation to the conveyance process increases efficiency and saves energy. The low amount of gas used avoids unnecessary dispersal of volatile substances into the atmosphere thereby reducing environmental pollution.
  • Less wear on the pipes in the system reduces maintenance costs and the purchase of spare parts.

The high flexibility of Air-Tec system solutions compared to diluted phase systems, conveyors and traditional methods of industrial automation, allows for a combination with any type of machine e.g extractors, silos, screw conveyors, hoppers, emptying big bags, bag splitters, electro filters and filters. Furthermore, the possibility of using nitrogen during transportation allows for the use of systems in ATEX environments.
