Rubber and plastic
The plastic and rubber industry provide many possibilities for the application for Air-Tec system solutions particularly where there is a need to safely move different materials such as inert plastics, compressed materials, virgin polymers, techno-polymers, masterbatch, resins and mineral fillers in various forms: pelletized, micronized powders, and regrinds.
Air-Tec system technology safeguards the integrity of the plastic granules until the end of the route. Indeed without adequate conveyor systems to safeguard the quality of the product, there are real risks of lines wear and abrasions (this is very frequent in the conveyance of fiberglass reinforced granules using traditional methods), product breakage and generation of dust (in the case of polymers with additives with mineral fillers like talc, kaolin, calcium carbonate, etc) and “angel hair” (whitish filaments).
The efficiency of the plastic conveyor systems is due to the low speed of transport and to the use of a uniform pressure that gently pushes the material inside the pipe to the highest possible density. Furthermore, the low speed of transport allows significant energy savings and it avoids plant wear thereby reducing maintenance costs.
The solutions offer the possibility to programme the complete cleaning of the line. It is particularly suited for masterbatch and compound producers who need to transport different products depending on colour and consistency.
